Article: Seven sworn in to Yucaipa citizens patrol

Seven graduates were sworn into the Yucaipa Sheriff's Department Citizens Patrol this past week. They were Edward Gallardo, Therma Hutton, Jim Krynicki, James Mills, Douglas Offenstein, Bradford Page and John Simpson.

"It's always an honor and a pleasure for me to attend these graduations," said Mayor Dick Riddell. "I have the utmost respect and admiration for them because they enter into this commitment and give of themselves for the benefit of the community."

The seven newest graduates will join a Yucaipa Citizens Patrol force now at 40 members.

It is a group that the Sheriff's Department relies on heavily to augment their efforts.
