YUCAIPA - Like master pastry chefs, the handful of women in
Malissa Grinnals' Valentine's Day Chocolate Oblivion cooking class
piped melted dark and white chocolate into elegant floral shapes on
parchment paper.
Grinnals, a personal chef-for-hire from Yucaipa, showed the women
how to prepare sweets for their sweeties Wednesday at the Yucaipa
Community Center.
Among the desserts Grinnals taught the women to prepare during the
two-hour class was sweetheart cups with chocolate mousse garnished
with strawberries.
The end product was a handmade chocolate cup filled with fresh
chocolate mousse and strawberries, topped with the handmade flower-
shaped candy.
