Some people like the theater.

In many senses, having been earned over decades of devotion, Harry Murray was the theater.

"He had a sense of the theater as this great enterprise that we were putting on, that said something about the community, or the world, that we live in," said Kathryn Ervin, a professor at Cal State San Bernardino's theatrical department.

Murray died March 21 at the age of 76. For years, he had been battling the effects of a stroke and a heart attack. Those conditions, coupled with his diabetes, had left him briefly hospitalized until his death.
