mention those dinky throw pillows on the sofa. Here come
pillows-lots of pillows. Pillows proliferating. In shops, in
catalogues, in ads, in decorating magazines, even in department store
model rooms.
Pillows are hot, all kinds of pillows: cabbage rose chintz
cushions, gossamer confections of linen and lace, tapestry, striped
damask, needlepoint, animal prints, trimmed pillows, braided pillows,
tasseled pillows and fringed pillows. Even pieces of flat-woven
rugs-kilims, dhurries and priceless Aubussons-have been pillowized.
