Article: Acne? Why Me?

A reader in Arlington, Va., wants to know the answer to an important question: "Now that I'm in seventh grade, my skin has changed. How come my face has bumps on it all of a sudden?"

If you are somewhere around 12 or 13 years old, you may have been asking yourself the same question when you look in the mirror in the morning. And whether you call those bumps pimples, acne, blemishes or zits, they don't look too good. To you, they look horrible. You may wish that you could go to school with a bag over your head. Don't worry. Facial blemishes have a way of looking a lot worse to the person who has them than they do to others.
