Maryland sophomore Christy Winters isn't just telling tales when
she tells people the toughest opponent she's faced in her brief but
successful career has been teammate Vicky Bullett.
Winters, a 6-foot-3 former all-Met from South Lakes, says the
spirited, competitive battles against the experienced Bullett during
practice have been a valuable lesson.
She hopes to put that lesson to use Thursday when the Terrapins
(25-5) make their first round-of-16 appearance in four years against
Ohio State (25-4) in a third-round National Collegiate Athletic
Association game in Athens, Ga.
Maryland is on an eight-game winning streak, including a 76-70
win over Virginia in the Atlantic Coast Conference ...
