THE Birmingham Mail is making major changes to its sports coverage from the end of the 2005/2006 football season.

The Mail will stop publishing its Sports Argus as a stand-alone edition.

May 13 2006 will see the final, souvenir edition of the Sports Argus, a Saturday night sports edition printed on pink paper which has been part of West Midland culture for more than 109 years.

From that date, the Birmingham Mail will publish the Sports Argus as part of its main paper on Saturdays and Mondays, continuing to provide the most in-depth analysis, reaction and opinion on West Midlands' sport.
