FOR as long as I can remember, I wanted to be a stuntman.

But sitting behind the wheel of Terry Grant's high powered Vauxhall Vectra I was driving as if I'd borrowed my nan's car for the weekend.

The problem was too many good habits and as I practised my handbrake turns I was still sticking to the Highway Code.

Thankfully one of Terry's mechanics pointed out where I was going wrong.

"You're doing alright," he said.

"You just need to hit the gas a bit harder and drive it like you stole it."

From then on it all fell into place.
