"Lord Krishna's Cuisine: The Art of Indian Vegetarian Cooking,"
by Yamuna Devi, has been named book of the year in the annual food
and beverage book competition sponsored by the International
Association of Cooking Professionals and Seagram.
First among Asian cookbooks, "Lord Krishna's Cuisine" (Bala
Books, E.P. Dutton, illustrated by David Baird) topped the winners in
12 other categories in which awards were given.
Others named in yesterday's presentation:
Basic and General American: (1) "The Good Housekeeping
All-American Cookbook," Hearst Books; (2) "American Country
Cooking," Mary Emmerling, photographs by Michael Skott, Clarkson N.
