Article: First Offerings for Super-VHS

Super-VHS, the highly touted (and high-priced) new generation of VHS videocassette recorders, has suffered from one major drawback since it hit the market last year: There are no movies recorded on Super-VHS cassettes, whose picture-enhancing technology makes them incompatible with standard VHS machines. But Super-VHS owners may soon have something other than home movies and broadcast TV to play on their machines, thanks to a San Francisco-based company called Super Source Video that hopes to have 10 movies on Super-VHS tape by the end of this month.
