Article: Dukakis Opens in Ohio With Economic Message; Jackson Presses Rival on Mozambique Arms

Exactly one year after he announced his presidential candidacy, Massachusetts Gov. Michael S. Dukakis began a four-day campaign swing today with an economic message tailored for the November general election, but his remaining opponent, Jesse L. Jackson, tried mightily to remind him there are primary contests left.

Jackson, also campaigning here in advance of Tuesday's primary, veered even further away than he did Thursday from his pattern of conciliation with fellow Democrats and accused Dukakis of being to the right of President Reagan and more in line with conservative Sen. Jesse Helms (R-N.C.) on a key southern Africa issue.
