BAILIFFS turned up in force to evict Birmingham's 'Shameless' family of 12 - only to discover they had already left.

Police officers, locksmiths, housing chiefs and maintenance men from Sandwell Council accompanied bailiffs to the house in West Road on the Durham estate in Great Barr.

Sandwell Homes had been awarded an eviction warrant after Alviria Benjamin and her family ignored a February 24 deadline given by Recorder Mary Wilson as she awarded a possession order for the house.

However, it seemed that the family - dubbed the 'Shameless' family after the TV clan - called their bluff by vacating the property.

Locksmiths had to break in as residents and camera crews looked
