Article: Salmonella poisoned hotel families, says city law firm

SALMONELLA has been confirmed as the bug which left hundreds of Midland holidaymakers sick in the Dominican Republic.

More than 1,500 people were struck down with the infection after they stayed at the Bahia Principe Hotel, San Juan, in April 2007.

Law firm Irwin and Mitchell, which is representing the families involved, also revealed that giardia, shigella, and campylobacter germs were present at the hotel.
