LEGENDARY Black Country entertainer Harry Harrison has died suddenly after collapsing at home.

The self-styled Bard of the Black Country - a founder member of the original Black Country Night Out touring show in the 70s - was rushed to Russells Hall Hospital, Dudley, last night after collapsing at his home in Bradleys Lane, Wallbrook, Coseley.

The veteran entertainer and comic poet, who was 85, was one of the best known faces on the Black Country comedy circuit, always wearing a cloth cap.
