Fishing for different ways to cook your catch? Try these To all
the dads and dads-to-be, happy Father's Day.
One of the most popular questions I receive is, "Can you tell me
some other ways to cook my fish?" Well, I sure can.
First, let's talk fish. If you buy fish at a supermarket or fish
store, the best piece of advice I can give you is smell the fish. If
it smells "fishy" you don't want it. Fresh fish doesn't stink like
fish. If you landed your own catch, then you know it's fresh.
To keep your catch at its freshest, bring a cooler with ice so the
meat doesn't spoil. To help make the larger fish lose some of the
"gamey" flavor, I suggest "bleeding" the fish.
