Article: Big East takes national spotlight; West Virginia-Louisville has BCS implications

Rich Rodriguez was sitting in his chair at home in West Virginia late Saturday afternoon. Bobby Petrino was doing the same a little more than 400 miles away in Kentucky. Both were watching as Southern California furiously rallied in a Pac-10 game at Oregon State. Both watched intently as the Beavers held on to pull a 33-31 upset.

Both admitted as much Monday. The end result was Rodriguez's West Virginia team moving up one spot to third and Petrino's Louisville squad going up to fifth in the BCS rankings.
