The second-biggest creditor of the Roanoke Steam's former owners
has turned out to be the Roanoke Civic Center.
According to civic center officials, the three-man group that used
to own the Steam owes the City of Roanoke $8,373.08.
Roanoke Pro Football LLC filed for bankruptcy on May 10, the same
day arenafootball2 yanked the team from the group. In financial
records filed Tuesday in U.S. Bankruptcy Court, the group listed a
$2,111.71 debt to the Roanoke Civic Center and an "unknown" debt to
the civic center.
Roanoke Civic Center manager Jim Evans says the $8,373.08 includes
the aforementioned $2,111.71. That brings the grand total that Harold
Jordan, Richard Macher and Richard Yancey owe ...
