MORRIS, James A. Sr., 75, of Vinton, went to be with the Lord
Saturday, April 13, 2002 after a courageous battle with cancer. He
was the son of the late Andrew J. Morris and R. Claudine Newman
Morris. He was an airforce veteran of WWII and was a retired
carpenter. He was preceded in death also by brothers, Calvin Morris
and wife Christine, Robert Morris; sisters, Ethel Reynolds and
husband Earl, Hilda Stevens and husband Woodrow, Elizabeth Powers and
husband Ernest; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph and Eva
Newman; sister-in-law, Delores N. Phillips; brother-in-law, John
Lewis Dillon. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Bertha N.
Morris; son, James A. Morris Jr., of Vinton; ...
