Jermaine Hardy doesn't need to be told where he lost his grip on a
starting position in Virginia's secondary.
He knows. It happened while he was sitting in the training room.
Hardy, a cornerback from Roanoke, was working with the first team
until he suffered a pulled hamstring with 10 days left in spring
practice.
Jamaine Winborne switched sides of the field, caught the eye of
the coaches and has not lost any of his edge.
Nevertheless, Hardy has regained the support of head coach Al
Groh, who had seen Hardy lose time to a high ankle sprain in the
fall.
