Article: Stone Bridge Gets Defensive; Bulldogs Respond, Allow No Field Goals in 2nd Half

After the Loudoun Valley girls' basketball team scored nine unanswered points to end the first half against Stone Bridge Tuesday night, the Bulldogs played the second half as though their reputation as a defensive team was at stake.

Stone Bridge proceeded to preserve that label by denying the host Vikings a field goal in the final two quarters, and then survived nine Loudoun Valley free throws in the last five minutes for a 36-32 Dulles District victory.

"We weren't playing Stone Bridge defense, and we know that we're known for our defense and that we're going to put it on teams," Bulldogs junior guard Terrell White said. "When the second half came out, we knew it was either then or never. ...
