Article: Firms Give Proposed Antenna Rules a Cool Reception

A long-percolating plan to regulate the size and placement of satellite dishes and other antennas around the city is approaching a final vote by the D.C. Zoning Commission, with major communications companies protesting that the proposed rules threaten their use of the airwaves.

"It's not just a nuisance. This hits right at the gut of our business," said Harry Owen, director of engineering for WUSA-TV (Channel 9). "It'd have a disastrous effect."
