Gerri Glass, executive director of Radford's Main Street program since 1997, will step down at the end of June.

Glass, the organization's sole paid employee, would not say exactly why she is leaving. But her decision follows a move by Main Street's board to cut the director's salary.

Glass' position hasd been paid by the city, an arrangement that will change with the start of the new fiscal year in July.
