In a plastic cup half-filled with red liquid methadone, Jennifer found the antidote to her OxyContin addiction.

Jennifer, who for more than a year drove four hours a day to drink a dose of methadone at a clinic run by the Life Center of Galax, completed the drug-treatment program in June.
