The Roanoke Times reports that law enforcement officials in Radford have noticed an increase in gang activity in the area and the surrounding New River Valley (April 13 news article, "Whether it's wannabes or real thing, gang activity has come to Radford.")

In addition to gang-related graffiti appearing around town, local police have identified some actual gang members.
