Article: Soviets Said to Slow Afghan Troop Pullout; U.S. Officials Voice Concern on Deadline

U.S. officials yesterday privately expressed concern that the Soviet Union will not meet an Aug. 15 deadline for removing half its troops from Afghanistan, and publicly reminded the Soviets of their commitment in light of reports that 10,000 troops have been sent back to defend Kabul.
