James Edward "Jim" Hill, 64, of Abingdon, Va. died Sunday, August
15, 2004 at his residence after a long illness. He was born in
Abingdon the son of the late James N. and Ruth Musick Hill. He was
preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Sue Owens Hill. He retired from
Appalachian Power Company having worked 33 years. He was a Veteran of
the U.S. Air Force serving as a boom operator on a KC135 from 1958-
1962. He is known by many as "Boomer". He was a member of Abingdon
Baptist Church. He was a freelance photographer for many years. He
was a member and past Master of Masonic Lodge 48, Abingdon. He served
on the Grand Lodge of VA 1997-1998. He was a Worthy Patron of Eastern
