Q: With the heavy rains last fall, there were several mudslides
along Sugar Loaf Mountain Road in Roanoke County, and a falling tree
caused one vehicle accident.
The mudslides rearranged the ditches so that water stands in one
spot after each rain, and this appears to be undermining the road
itself.
There were several other mudslides along Sugar Loaf Mountain Road
that have had some attention.
Can the Virginia Department of Transportation survey Sugar Loaf
Mountain Road to assure that everything is OK?
