The NRV Superbowl has now lasted long enough to no longer be the
"other bowling alley" or even the "new bowling alley."
Now that it's been open for a few years and Triangle Lanes is long
gone, it is "THE bowling alley," and it seems to be a pretty good
one, passing most, but not all, of the bowling alley tests with
flying colors.
(Actually make that fluorescent colors. The NRV Superbowl is all
about glowing stuff.)
I visited recently on a weekday afternoon to find the place
bustling with kids. It was well-lit and inviting. This is not one of
those grimy bowling alleys where you're afraid to touch anything. It
seemed clean and well-kept.
We even got to see the lane oiling machine in action.
