RADFORD -- The Clarke County boys' team is back in the state title game for the fourth time in as many years after dropping Galax 2-0 on Friday at the Dedmon Center.

The Eagles scored twice in the final seven minutes, finally breaking down the tired Maroon Tide defense.

Galax defender Oscar Lopez was the only senior in the lineup that held the reigning Group A state champions scoreless for nearly 74 minutes of play. "It's real hard because it's a tight game," he said. "Any error can turn the game. Unfortunately, we made that error and it cost us."
