Article: GROUP OF MOMS GIVES IN MEMORY OF HUSBANDS

When their daughters graduated from Cave Spring High School in 1998, a group of about eight mothers reached out to one another.

"We just decided to eat out once a month, to laugh, talk, reminisce and support each other," said Martha Neil, a member of the aptly named the 1998 Cave Spring Senior Moms Group.

Most of their daughters played sports together in high school, Neil said; and even though they went on to different colleges, they remained close friends -- along with their mothers.

"We said, 'We don't want to lose contact just because our daughters graduated high school,' " Neil recalled.

But the women in the Moms Group have done more than remain in touch and keep their lunch commitment ...
