Philip Morris hails from a town almost three hours from Motor Mile Speedway. On Saturday night, the Ruckersville resident proved again that the Pulaski County track he has dominated for most of the last decade is still his house.

With Davin Scites and visiting South Boston Speedway points leader Adam Barker following closely in his tire tracks through two green- white-checkered attempts, Morris held off his formidable foes to claim his 10th victory of 2007 and clinch his fifth Late Model Stock title at the .416-mile oval.

With the championship, Morris breaks a tie he previously shared with Floyd's Jeff Agnew.
