William Patrick "Pat" Briskey was an avid boater, traveler and
volunteer in the lake community, making friends with everyone he met.
He died Sept. 16 from accidental drowning while sailing in the Aegean
Sea with his wife, Ann, and six of their friends. He was 73.
The Briskeys moved to Moneta in 1997, two years after he retired
from a lifelong career with General Electric. As a lake resident,
Briskey became very involved with the community and was an advocate
for maintaining the health of the lake.
Ann Briskey said she called her husband of 48 years an Energizer
Bunny because he was interested in everything and stayed involved
with the community.
