Peter Milius, in posing the question "What Do Women Want?"
{op-ed, Sept. 14}, missed the main point of what women want.
Women want equal representation under the law. Woman make up 52
percent of the population of the United States. Currently, they cast
2 percent of the votes in the Senate and 5 percent of the votes in
the House.
Women want equal pay for comparable work, across the board; and
improved pay in fields that are dominated by women. Women still make
70 cents to every dollar a man makes.
Women want an elimination of the threat of nuclear war and a
greater respect for our precious environment and our fragile Earth.
