CANCER charity shops in the city have been targeted by thieves
four times in the last month.
Charity donation boxes and ladies' clothing are among the items
stolen from two Cancer Research UK stores in different parts of the
Capital.
The charity's Leith and Davidson's Mains shops have each been
broken into twice.
Staff and volunteers at the two branches have now been forced to
chain the donation boxes to the counters in a bid to stop them from
being taken again.
Cancer Research UK area manager Lyn Lacey described the incidents
as disgraceful.
"These people have to realise that money made from these stores
goes to cancer research.
"People who donate goods to the store want the money ...
