Article: Road rage attack on city taxi driver

A TAXI driver was left covered in blood after an alleged hammer attack following a road rage incident in Edinburgh.

The driver of the cab was rushed to hospital after the alleged altercation with an Army sergeant major on Dalkeith Road just before 2pm yesterday.

Witnesses saw the taxi driver and another motorist apparently shouting at each from their vehicles just moments earlier.

The taxi driver, who works for Edinburgh-based City Cabs, suffered a severe head wound.

Paramedics treated him at the scene and then took him to ERI.
