The rock band blared the new theme song of George Bush's
presidential campaign today-"Say Goodnight Mike!"-but the Republican
presidential nominee tried to pretend he didn't hear the lyrics.
"No, no, there's no overconfidence at all," Bush declared as he
worked the crowd at Heritage Park here, where an army of happy
supporters came to celebrate his performance in Thursday night's
presidential debate. They gathered under a dirigible-shaped balloon
that said "Say Goodnight Mike" and a sports scoreboard that
announced, "It's Over."
