YOU want to see some real footballers, son, up close and personal?
Stop dribbling in your own penalty box and mosey along to the
Scottish National Portrait Gallery in Queen Street. Scotland's Dream
Team is an exhibition to Bovril-and-pie for.
Gallery director James Holloway is so impressed with the portraits
commissioned from artist Mark I'Anson that he had some of fitba's
finest - one or two beyond their bedtime - at a reception on Monday
night. Great good-old-days crack from the likes of Dave Mackay,
Lawrie Reilly, Tam Preston, Jimmy Murray and Packy Macfarlane.
Of the non-players, the place seemed to be swarming with Jambos,
Tynecastle's Chris Robinson among them. Not a particularly ...
