KING OF THE NIGHT
"The Night Owl" is not only the name of Gregg Karukas' latest
album, but the way the keyboardist describes himself. "I wrote `Night
Owl' in one night and finished it in one night," he says. "I'm a
late-night person."
Karukas, who grew up in Bowie and now lives in Los Angeles, has
worked with Kenny G. and Deneice Williams and has toured with Melissa
Manchester. He is the lead artist in the Gregg Karukas Group, which
has three other members. His music is also featured on the
television soap opera "Santa Barbara."
Tomorrow night the Gregg Karukas Group, which includes Jay
Dulaney on bass, Joe Dougherty on drums and Glenn Cashman on sax and
