THE highest level of grass pollen ever recorded is making this
summer the worst in memory for hay fever sufferers, scientists have
claimed.
Climate change is being blamed for the rise, which experts believe
is set to continue as the year progresses.
The findings mean that more people than ever are suffering from
hay fever symptoms such as sneezing, red and itchy eyes and wheezing.
Experts attribute most of the blame to a record level of grass
pollen, which is being detected earlier than usual.
Usually, sufferers begin their battle with hayfever by around the
end of June but, this year, the symptoms struck a month early.
