RESIDENTS in the west of the city have demanded urgent action to stop office workers parking outside their homes.

Scores of commuters who work at Edinburgh Park are abandoning their vehicles in nearby estates to avoid excessive congestion during the morning and evening rush hours.

Streets in the South Gyle and Gogarloch estates are more accessible for workers coming from or going to the Gogar roundabout - a short walk from Edinburgh Park - but it means local residents are struggling to park their own cars in the evenings.
