BOYS at a city school are set to walk to their place of learning
at least once a week as part of a bid to reduce car travel.
Edinburgh Academy, in Henderson Row, is launching its own Walk on
Wednesday (WoW) scheme to coincide with National Walk to School Week.
The scheme has already been introduced at a number of schools in
the UK and is set to go worldwide in October.
The aim is to help reduce the number of cars on the road and
improve health
JULIA GLEED and children Kiera, seven, and Daniel, 12, take part
in the Walk for Skin at Arthur's Seat held at the weekend. The cash
raised will go to skin charities.
