THE crowds wander down the Waterfront boulevard. They stop
occasionally to enjoy the striking works of public art and step out
above the Firth of Forth on wooden viewing platforms.
This is the vision of Granton portrayed today in new images
released by the developers masterminding the area's regeneration.
They offer the first glimpse of how the US-style boardwalk, which is
expected to attract thousands of new visitors to the neighbourhood,
will look.
Other planned features for the area include a miniature canal, a
waterfall and public squares. Hotels, theatres, art galleries, shops,
bars and restaurants, offices and more than 5000 new homes are also
set to be built .
