Acai cafe proves a berry good place for a boost from Brazil

TOWARDS the end of April this year there was a flurry of publicity about the increase in popularity of Brazil's aca berry, a palm fruit renowned for its unique health-enhancing properties.

Edinburgh's Brazilian Sensation, a family business run by John and Lucia Falconer, was the first UK-based company to import aca from Brazil and they now supply other retail outlets and industries by mail order.

But from their small premises on Buccleuch Street they also run a cafe and juice bar during the day and restaurant by night.
