THE owners of the Capital's largest business park today demanded
that Edinburgh-to-Glasgow express trains stop at the city's newest
station.
High-speed services are still rushing straight through Edinburgh
Park, forcing passengers going to or from Glasgow to travel to
Haymarket and double back.
Transport Scotland has warned that the negative effect on journey
times - just a few minutes - must justify the extra halt.
But New Edinburgh Limited (NEL), which operates the business park,
claimed a direct service would boost the number of employees
travelling by train from 33 per cent to a massive 85 per cent.
