Article: Va. Officials Hope New Film Studio Will Bring in Moviemakers

Rural state route 10-32 is marked by little more than flat fields and scattered houses until a flashy sign suddenly appears beside the road: "Hollywood on the Atlantic."

A turn down a short drive reveals signs advertising the Hillpoint Farms community, the future campus of Paul D. Camp Community College and finally a gleaming, cream-colored modern building, the home of Atlantic Film Studios.

State officials hope the studio and last month's Virginia Festival of American Film will be magnets that will bring more moviemakers into Virginia, along with the jobs and spending that their movie productions generate.
