More than 3,200 teachers and support staff members, roughly 55
percent of those surveyed, responded to the Howard County Education
Association's annual job satisfaction questionnaire. As in past
years, results were largely positive, with around 90 percent of
respondents reporting that they personally feel successful in their
work.
The 28-question survey, conducted over winter break, was aimed at
assessing the workplace environment of teachers so the association
can more effectively advocate for its members, said President Ann De
Lacy, who presented the results to the county Board of Education last
Thursday.
