When a particularly disagreeable cold struck full force the other day, I did what my mother taught me to do and took the WASP Cure: I went to bed with a big bottle of Canada Dry ginger ale and a couple of novels by John P. Marquand. It works every time. Forty-eight hours later I was on my feet again, healed and refreshed by the potent mixture of carbonation and jollification.
