Article: Edinburgh Park owner thrives thanks to upturn in business

NEW Edinburgh Ltd (NEL), owner of the highly-successful Edinburgh Park business hub on the west side of the Capital, has seen its pre- tax losses shrink substantially.

Over the year to December 31, 2006 NEL booked a pre-tax loss of GBP 118,850, compared with a loss of GBP 1.6 million the year before.

But at the operating level, the group, a joint venture between Edinburgh City Council unit CEC Holdings and Miller Group, returned to surplus, posting a profit of GBP 1.26m against a loss of GBP 344,369 over 2005.

Turnover was GBP 6.66m versus GBP 11.04m in the previous year, according to the latest set of accounts from NEL posted at Companies House.
