SCOTLAND wing Kenny Logan flew out to join his touring team-mates
in South Africa today, a Zurich championship-winning medal tucked
safely in his bag after a ferociously-efficient Wasps side had seen
off the team who finished 15 points clear at the top of the table.
The runners-up in the 22-game regular league season had the last
word, taking the inaugural championship play-off and denying their
West Country rivals the double, Gloucester having won the Powergen
Cup.
Wasps, champions on two previous occasions, arrived at Twickenham
via a play-off semi-final success against Northampton, and perhaps
more significantly, with 16 victories from their past 18 starts ...
