A SINGAPORE television actress who blamed a diet pill for her liver failure has been awarded more than GBP 300,000 in damages by the country's High Court.

The court ruled that the Slim 10 diet pill was the most probable cause of 29-year-old Andrea De Cruz's liver problem. Slim 10 importer Semon Liu, his company, Health Biz, and distributor, TV Media, were all found liable in the case.
